Two entrepreneurs from Manchester, England were supplying vehicle telematics to customers with large fleets of vehicles, but one wasn’t completely happy. The customer loved the telematics device: it told them where their vehicles were 24-hours a day. The problem was that as soon as a vehicle was stolen, they had no idea where it was, and got virtually none of them back. Thieves using a £30 telematics detector (search for trackers on Amazon and a telematics detection device pops up as a ‘sponsored product’) simply ripped them out, dumped them by the side of the road and drove away.
Grappling with this customer’s problem, the idea for Intelizzz was born. Tony and Nick built a prototype and partnered with their customer to test 1,000 devices in the field.
The customer hasn’t lost a vehicle since.
